Project summary:

The outlook for market developments and competition means it is essential to raise awareness within the Portuguese Textile and Clothing Association of the importance of implementing proactive strategies for innovation, cooperation and added value, as a means of achieving competitive advantages through specialisation and the enhancement of the product range.

To this end, the CHALLENGE OF EXCELLENCE project aims to strengthen the Portuguese Textile and Clothing Association’s capacity to improve the competitiveness of businesses in the North and Centre regions within the global market. Seeking to address the shortcomings identified in the sector, the following operational objectives have been defined: raising awareness of innovation practices, promoting eco-efficiency practices, encouraging new attitudes and providing access to specialist information.

To achieve these objectives, the project envisages carrying out activities and initiatives that complement one another, the main outcomes of which will be:
